Week Seven :: Flowers and puppies, puppies and flowers.

The last 2 weeks of litter life are busy and action packed. Although food intake is fixed at 3 cups/day; weights continue to climb, with a couple real "bruisers" in the pack.
When the weather permits, they spend hours in the back 40 exploring every inch with their Mama and uncles keeping watch. This becomes quite a feat at times for short legs, since the road back to the house is 300 feet uphill on a 45 degree grade. A few hours outside is good for the same amount or longer of downtime in the house.
Thursday (May 1) is bath and groom day again. They have conspiratorially all decided that they hate baths and blow dryers — buyers beware.
Friday (may 2) was their vet check and 1st innoculation. Overall a good visit, aside from the standard "aren't they adorable" (what puppy isn't?), the other most prevalent comment received was "these are the calmest puppies we've ever seen". Hah, silly people, little do they know...:-) This litter has cetainly lived up to our expectations, it will be hard to let them go.
