At the beginning of Week 3 they get their first visitors, three sets of prospective owners and the beginning of their socialization. When awake, they are highly mobile, and are discovering the work around them. Visually they begin to focus on their surroundings, and alternately huddle and wrestle with thier littermates.
Mid-week their appetites become so ravenous that we begin to supplement with a gruel of ground kibble and goat's milk. Traci spreads the mixture in a large shallow pan and they wade in, gobbling to their heart's content.
On Thursday, five of the more audacious break out of their pen , hike 10 feet to Caly who is sleeping in the kichen and proceed to help themselves to the buffet. At the end of the week, weights are up considerably across the board and no, we still can't tell plush from smooth with certainty.
